From Little Things Big Things Grow

The Clontarf Foundation aims to improve the education, discipline, self-esteem, life skills, and employment prospects of young Aboriginal men, empowering them to contribute more meaningfully to society. At Newton Moore Senior High School, the Foundation uses students’ passion for football to engage them in education.

All Aboriginal boys enrolled at the school are eligible to apply to the Academy, where ongoing participation is important in demonstrating commitment to both education and the Academy’s expectations. The program serves as a vital engagement tool, particularly for at-risk students who may otherwise struggle with school attendance.

Through a partnership with the school, the Academy supports students to complete Year 12 and transition into meaningful employment or further training, helping each student reach their full potential.
