Bush Rangers Cadets
Bush Rangers WA is a program for young people in Years 9 to 12 who care about the environment and want to make a difference. It’s run by the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions – Parks and Wildlife Service, with support from Cadets WA, the Department for Local Government and Communities, and Lotterywest.
The program helps students learn about nature, especially along our coastline, and how to protect it. Students take part in fun, hands-on activities like camps and conservation projects. They also learn useful skills like first aid, survival, bushcraft, navigation, cooking, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving.
Bush Rangers WA is officially recognised by the School Curriculum and Standards Authority, which means it counts towards your WA Certificate of Education (WACE). You can also work towards your Duke of Edinburgh Award through the program.
It’s a great way to learn new skills, meet new people, and help the environment at the same time.
